Cerium Labs offers customized solutions for reverse engineering of semiconductor devices.  These include partial or whole die imaging, pattern recognition and extraction, circuit functionality, modeling, and creation of 3D renditions of specific circuits or the entire device.  Our extensive device experience includes microprocessors, CMOS, BiCMOS, SRAM, DRAM, FLASH, DSP, DAC and micro-controllers.

To recreate lost or obsolete technologies, Cerium Labs offers a one-stop solution to custom chip recreation.  Using ChipReveal-3D, a complete suite of proprietary acquisition methods and software tools, we create three-dimensional visualization of VLSI circuits. From the 3-D model we can export CAD layouts, SPICE models, Netlists and GDSII files.  Everything needed to recreate your valuable device.

In addition to circuit extraction, Cerium can provide complete process and materials characterization.  With SEM and TEM we can determine critical dimensions of gate and interconnect features.  Electron energy loss spectroscopy (EELS) and energy dispersive x-ray spectroscopy (EDS) reveal chemical constituents of low and high-k dielectrics. Channel dopant concentrations and profiles are measured with secondary ion mass spectroscopy (SIMS).  Finally, our 20+ years of semiconductor manufacturing expertise provides you with manufacturing insight critical to recreating your devices.
