Security

The Cerium Labs information management system, Lab Collector, runs on a secure network. The servers are protected by redundant firewall appliances and are physically located in a secure data center with 24 hour staffing.

A trusted third party hosting company operates the database and provides security. The management system software is based on Zope and Plone using a proven architecture that provides a high degree of data security. Elements of the system which contain customer data use the SSL protocol to encrypt all data communications.

Weekly security audits are run to detect any system vulnerabilities and all administrative access to the servers is via secure VPNs.
